You ready to meet your new friend? This raw sipping cacao from Om Edibles is the perfect beginner product since it’s non-psychoactive (just CBD, with a negligible amount of THC) and it’s especially good as an intro for your mom or dad to try a cannabis product for their first time.

It’s almost dangerous to have around, just because it’s soooo good. Go ahead, grab a spoon. You can literally eat it right out the jar. It’s raw and organic cacao, so it’s packed with antioxidants and can give your body that happy chocolate buzz (thanks to anandamide: the bliss molecule!), and then you add on the benefits from CBD (from the ACDC strain) and yeah, you’re feeling good.

Each jar contains 80mg of CBD (derived from top-quality, sun-grown cannabis, not hemp). For your first time, you can try 1 teaspoon (the equivalent of 3.3mg of CBD), just to see how your body reacts to CBD. The next time, you can go up to a couple teaspoons, or even a tablespoon (10mg of CBD). It’s made with raw cacao butter, raw cacao powder, coconut oil, quality cannabis, raw agave, and sea salt.

Om Edibles is a San Francisco Bay Area, female-owned company founded in 2008 by Maya Elisabeth. Om Edibles is committed to using quality cannabis for their excellent line of products, which range from bath salts to topicals to olive oil to tinctures (I love their gentle Night Time tincture), plus their new line of gummies and candy jems.

How I like to use the Raw Sipping Cacao

Honestly, I love a teaspoon of the stuff right out of the jar. It’s a perfect snack in the afternoon when your sweet tooth may strike and you'd like to relax for a moment. Just let it melt slowly on your tongue, savor it.

You can also slather it onto a toasted crumpet in the morning, or toast, or add a spoonful to your pancakes, or right into your coffee—instant mocha! It’s gonna be your little friend when you wake up with the wine flu. You know, when you’re feeling a little heavy-headed or hungover.

My mom strained her back in yoga, and found a spoonful alleviated the pain within half an hour. We were both pretty amazed with the results. Shazam.

You can also make hot chocolate with it, but don’t heat it above 115℉ or you’ll lose the raw nutritional benefits: combine 2 tablespoons of the cacao with 8 oz. (1 cup) of milk (or your milk of choice, like hemp or almond) on low heat. You can also do half water and half milk. Use a whisk to blend the cacao completely. Crawl into bed with your mug of happiness.
